Across inner‑city Leeds, too many children are growing up around poverty, fear and violence. Kidz Klub turns up anyway. Every week. At the front door, at Klub, and when families are stretched to breaking point.

Here’s the honest bit.
Needs are climbing. Costs are climbing. The funding that keeps the doors open is dropping. So this year we’re asking our friends to do something joyful: share your birthday with us, and invite the people you love to join in.
Because every child in inner‑city Leeds should know God’s never stopping, never giving up, never running out love for them. Your birthday helps them feel it.

When you click “Start my birthday fundraiser”, you’ll see this. Tick off each part as you fill it in.
There’s no minimum to raise, and you won’t need to make up any shortfall. You can increase your target if you reach it early!

What happens for your friends
Your birthday also introduces the people you love to Kidz Klub.
When they open your link
- They see your photo and why you care about Kidz Klub.
- They give a birthday gift of any size.
- They get a warm thank‑you showing the children and families their gift helps.
Staying in touch
- When they donate, they’ll start getting Kidz Klub emails, and they can unsubscribe at any time.
- Friends who didn’t donate can still sign up through the link in your thank‑you message.
- New subscribers get a short welcome from the team.
- Then regular news and stories from Kidz Klub kids & families.
Wanted: birthday guinea pigs!
This is the very first time we’ve launched Give Your Birthday. We’ve had great fun setting up all the techie bits behind the scenes, and now we need a few lovely people to try it for real. Got a birthday in the next 6 months? Be one of our 5–7 testers and tell us how it went. No minimum to raise. Your feedback is the main thing.

A few birthday FAQs
Do I have to give up all my presents?
Nope. Keep the socks. Keep the candle that smells like “Autumn Linen”. This isn’t a present ban. It’s a present bonus. Ask for donations instead of gifts, or alongside them, or just let anyone who fancies it chip in. You’re the birthday person. You make the rules.
What if I don’t reach my target?
Then you’ve still raised money for Leeds kids, which is the opposite of failing. There’s no minimum, and you’ll never be asked to make up the difference. We’re grateful for every single penny, truly.
Do I have to use social media?
Not at all. If the thought of posting about yourself makes you want to hide behind a sofa cushion, skip it. A text, a WhatsApp or a quick email to a handful of people you love works beautifully. Often better, actually. Nobody ignores a personal message from a birthday person.
Do I need to collect the money and send it to Kidz Klub?
No envelopes, no bank transfers, no spreadsheets at midnight. Every donation through your page goes straight to Kidz Klub automatically. Your only job is to share the link and say thank you. (And eat cake. That’s technically optional, but strongly encouraged.)
Will my friends start getting emails from Kidz Klub?
If they donate, yes, so they can hear what their gift actually did. (Spoiler: good things.) They can unsubscribe any time with one click, no hard feelings, no guilt-trip follow-up. Friends who don’t donate can still sign up through the link in your thank‑you message. We’d love to have them. Kids and families in Leeds need all the love, prayer and support they can get 🫶
When should I start sharing?
About two weeks before your birthday is the sweet spot. That’s early enough for people to plan, and close enough that they don’t forget. Birthday months away? Relax. Set up your page whenever, then let your calendar do the remembering. 👇
